Ministry to the Incarcerated | How You Can Get Involved

July 29th, 2018

You can make a difference in the lives of troubled adults and young people in our city.

Learn how at this informational meeting hosted by our local missions team in partnership with Youth For Christ Juvenile Justice Ministry Director, Alex Matthew.

Alex Mathew serves with Youth For Christ (YFC) in Jackson County and Wyandotte County Juvenile Detention Centers four times a week offering chapel services, small group Bible studies, one on one counseling, and life skills classes to detained youth.

Volunteers commit to weekly involvement with youth at the detention centers, group homes, and/or alternative schools.

You'll also learn about Mentoring 4 Success that works with young people who are transitioning out of jail, Prison Fellowship that ministers to hurting people still in area jails and more.

Let us know you're coming with a simple registration. Or just show up on Sunday, July 29 at 10:30 am in the Warehouse.

Women's Discipleship Kickstart

August 25th, 2018

You know that you are called to discipleship. To pour into the lives of other women and your family. Yet you don’t know where to begin. You're not sure you are ready to disciple someone. But you don't have to feel stuck. There is way forward.

The Women's Discipleship Kickstart is a way to empower you to come alongside other people to encourage them in discipleship. The Kickstart will give you the tools to further your skills as a discipler -- whether that be with other women, youth, or with your kids at home.

Kickstart your discipleship this season by gathering with like-minded women who desire to grow in their relationship with Jesus and have a positive influence on others. If you are disicpling someone already, or are interested in getting started in discipling someone, this is for you.

Our guest speaker Ellen Garland will bring instruction, resources, and testimonies of changed lives.

This is a free event. Come enjoy coffee, a pastry, and conversations as we launch a new year of discipleship together
